Annual Membership Meeting

Join us for LOTSAR's Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, September 24 from 12:00 – 1:30 PM at the LOTSAR office.

The meeting will open with the election of the 2027 LOTSAR Board of Directors and Officers and a summary of the 2026 financial statements.

Following the business portion, we're pleased to welcome Miriam Baer, former Executive Director of the NC Real Estate Commission, for a special address — "Now for the Rest of the Story." Baer joined the Commission in 1987 as legal counsel and served as Executive Director from 2010 until her retirement in June 2026 — nearly four decades shaping real estate licensing, education, and regulation across North Carolina. Her talk promises the kind of candid perspective you only get from someone who's stepped away from the podium for good.

Voting is in-person only. You must be a REALTOR® member in good standing to vote. Lunch is included.


Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® Inc., Annual Meeting and Election of 2027 Officers and Directors

 

Notice is hereby given that the annual meeting of the members of the Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS®, Inc., (“LOTSAR”) will be held in-person, at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The purposes of the annual meeting of members shall be as follows:
 
1. Election of 2027 Board of Directors and Officers of LOTSAR.  Voting will be conducted in-person in accordance with the LOTSAR Bylaws and the election rules posted below;
2. Treasurer's presentation of a summary of the 2026 Financial Statements of LOTSAR.
3. To conduct such other business as may properly come before the meeting and any adjournment or adjournments thereof.

 The Election Rules are as follows:
  1. Election shall open when the meeting begins.
  2. No on-line voting will be allowed for this vote, only in-person voting.
  3. Voting shall be limited to the REALTOR® Members of Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS®, in good standing as defined in the Bylaws of Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS®.
  4. Candidates receiving the largest number of votes cast are elected. In the event of a tie vote, the election shall be determined by a runoff.
  5. Results will be posted immediately after the vote count.
